KDA208: Design Studio: Production
Campus Experience Prototypes explored how design could improve the student experience within the University of Tasmania’s Creative Arts campus. The project used a series of prototype sprints to investigate problems such as AR wayfinding, campus access and security, and an underused student seating area. Through sketching, storyboarding, physical prototyping, and digital rendering, the team developed each concept through multiple iterations to improve usability, form, and presentation.
The project resulted in an augmented-reality navigation system, a wearable access-and-security device, and a redesigned modular student seating concept. The seating design progressed from low-fidelity physical models to textured digital mockups and rendered visualisations, then into the existing campus environment.
